i cannot attest to the truth of this painting
here’s the explanation from the requester:
At work we use a web server called “Unicorn”. The name kind of makes sense because you manage many ‘legs’ (threads) with a single ‘horn’ (process)… Anyway, I realized today that the process of updating our code involves us running a command which is literally “kill unicorn”.
Because I’m a nerd, I find it importnat to update my mistake:
“The name kind of makes sense because you manage many ‘legs’ (connections) with a single ‘horn’ (socket & manager process)…”
I still have no idea why it is actually called unicorn 🙁
